A technology born from a real need
Data Seekers began to take shape in 2012 as the internal technology department of Paraty Tech.
Companies needed to know prices, competitors and distribution channels, but gathering that information manually was a slow, costly process that didn't scale.
The team developed proprietary technology capable of automatically capturing, structuring and processing public market data.
It soon became clear that the problem wasn't unique to Paraty Tech: other companies in the tourism sector needed the same information to understand their position and decide quickly.
That internal solution revealed a real business opportunity. In 2015 it became an independent company: Data Seekers.
2012
An internal need at Paraty Tech
An inefficient manual operation that limited business visibility and agility.
Proprietary technology
We built our own technology from scratch to solve that problem at the root.
Automatic capture and processing
We automated capture, structured the data and turned it into actionable, scalable information.
2015
Data Seekers is born
We turned our internal solution into a product of our own and brought it to market to help more companies in the sector.

The experience that helped recognise the opportunity
Before focusing on tourism, Franz had built an extensive technology career across several demanding sectors: online commerce, telecommunications and hospital environments.
That cross-sector experience helped him understand that a technology built to solve an internal need could become a robust product, applicable to multiple businesses and capable of real impact.
Focus on doing the job well every day: the final result doesn't always depend on one person alone, but everyone can answer for their part.

From an internal department to a new business line
Our first tools were designed to improve direct hotel visibility, helping hotels understand their competitive environment and optimise price and availability on their own channel.
Over time, large hotel chains asked us to go further: they needed specialised decisions across multiple hotels, markets and channels, with more complex integrations and larger data volumes.
From there, the technology expanded naturally into car rental and travel distribution, and later into e-commerce and retail. Every step responded to a real market need.
An evolution driven by ever bigger challenges
Tourism, our great technological accelerator
Tourism is a hyper-competitive sector that changes at extraordinary speed. A new competitor's prices and availability can shift within hours or a few days.
Keeping pace with this environment forced us to sharpen our decision-making: automating more, processing more data, adapting to real time and keeping the technology constantly up to date. That constant pressure gave us an agility that's hard to reach in slower sectors.
Knowing the sector to design better
Not everyone on the team needed to be a sector expert, but we did need to understand the business in depth.
Understanding the operational concepts, the data flows and their implications helped us grasp — not just build — the real complexity. That understanding defined how a reliable, sustainable solution had to be structured.
From highly diverse sources to a cross-cutting view
We work with very different players: hotels, car rental, airlines, ferries, B2B distributors, retail and e-commerce.
This lets us build a deep, cross-cutting view of the market, and understand how each group works and responds.
Data doesn't decide on its own
Data isn't power in itself: it needs direction. Extraordinary events, campaigns or regulatory changes can distort normal behaviour.
What matters is interpreting patterns, anticipating trends, important shifts and opportunities, and also knowing where to focus without losing execution. Our biggest contribution is agility: detecting, testing, analysing and deciding quickly.
