FAQs

Frequently asked questions about availability for brands

How often is availability information updated?

Every day. We capture the public availability of each reference at each retailer and market with our own infrastructure, the same one that collects more than 20 million prices a day. For critical references or campaign periods, the capture frequency can be increased.

Which retailers and markets is it available in?

In more than 1,000 retailers and marketplaces across more than 50 countries. Tracking is configured per brand: you choose the retailers, markets and references you want to watch, and if a retailer changes its website, we adapt the capture without you having to do anything.

What is the Coverage Rate?

It is the percentage of retailers, out of those assigned to you, where a reference is available at a given moment. If a product should be sold at 5 retailers in Spain and today it can only be bought at 3, its Coverage Rate in Spain is 60%. It is calculated by SKU, retailer and market, and can be aggregated by line, category or country.

How are the duration and recurrence of an Out of Stock calculated?

Duration counts the consecutive days the product appears as unavailable, from the first capture without stock until it is back on sale. Recurrence measures how many times that situation repeats in a period (for example, three stock-outs in the same campaign) to tell a one-off incident apart from a distribution problem.

What kind of availability history does it offer?

The full history of each reference since tracking began: daily status by retailer and market, stock-outs with their duration and recurrence, and comparison across seasons. With it you can see whether a reference always loses coverage in the same campaign and get ahead of it the following year.

Does the module show the units of stock available?

No. We measure public availability, that is, whether the product can be bought or not at each retailer, as the shopper sees it. We do not access the retailer's inventory levels or make demand forecasts or logistics movements. What the module does give you is the early stock-out signal and the context to act with your distribution network.
