Pricing — capability comparison
The price you cannot see is the one that costs you most
Collecting prices from Google Shopping or comparison sites is fast and cheap. But that figure is not always what the shopper sees on the retailer site. Data Seekers goes straight to the source, with in-house technology that extracts the real price even on the most complex sites.

What brands are living today
Four situations that hold pricing teams back every week
Real conversations with pricing, trade and ecommerce teams at brands monitoring prices across multiple channels.
The situation
You know someone in your network dropped their price. The alert came through. But you do not know who moved first, or who followed. By the time you try to reconstruct the chain, the data is gone or scattered across several reports.
How we solve it
ExclusiveWe detect first movers: who cut price first and who followed, with the full time sequence. So next time you can get ahead of it instead of piecing the move together once it is too late.
The situation
Most tools use Google Shopping or comparison sites as their main source because it is fast and cheap. The problem is that price is only part of the story: on Amazon there can be dozens of sellers offering the same product at different prices and with different shipping costs, and GS shows only one. On the retailer site, the indexed price may not include the active promotion or may simply be out of date.
How we solve it
Data qualityWe go straight to the source: to the retailer site and to the full Amazon seller catalogue, with price, stock and shipping cost per seller. The data reflects what the shopper sees at any given moment, not what a comparison engine has indexed. Our in-house captcha and antiscraping system lets us do this even on the most complex sites.
The situation
You need to analyse price from different angles depending on who is asking: by market for the regional team, by brand or category for the product team, by company for the board. Your tool has a single way of grouping the data and everyone has to adapt to it.
How we solve it
ExclusiveDynamic groupings configured around the dimensions your business actually uses: by market, by company, by brand, by category, or any combination. Each team analyses pricing from its own cut, without anyone having to reshape the data before using it.
The situation
You want to exclude discontinued SKUs, distributors on special terms or categories with a different pricing policy. Your tool either does not allow it or forces you to do it manually every time.
How we solve it
ExclusiveExclude brands, SKUs, categories or retailers using your own rules, applied automatically. Monitoring reflects your business logic, not a generic configuration.
