Marketplace Intelligence: control how your brand is sold on every channel

Features

Detect unauthorised sellers before they damage your brand

When you sell through third parties on Amazon, eBay or Miravia, losing control of who sells your products is the first risk. Unauthorised sellers operate outside your distribution network: they sell at any price, with any content, and erode your brand before your team detects it.

  • Identification of all active sellers by SKU and marketplace
  • Automatic detection of unauthorised sellers with real-time alerts
  • Visibility of seller name, rating, price and RRP compliance per seller
  • Seller origin visibility (e.g. German seller selling in the Spanish market)
  • Coverage on Amazon, eBay, Miravia and other marketplaces worldwide

Price monitoring and MAP/RRP compliance in marketplaces

Price pressure among third-party sellers is inevitable — unless you have data. Without real-time price monitoring, you don't know how many of your distributors are pricing below your recommended price, or in which markets.

  • Monitoring of each seller's offer price by SKU and marketplace
  • Calculation of % deviation from your MAP/RRP
  • Aggregate compliance rate by seller, market and category
  • Configurable alerts for price violations

For price control outside marketplaces, see Pricing Intelligence for brands →

Buy Box monitoring: know who has it, when you lose it and why — and act

On Amazon and other marketplaces with a Buy Box, more than 80% of sales go through that button. Many brands don't know their Buy Box win rate, can't identify which seller is taking their position, and don't understand the real cause of each loss. Without that data, it's impossible to act.

  • Daily tracking of Buy Box ownership by SKU and market
  • Cumulative Buy Box Win Rate with complete history
  • Identification of the winning seller in each loss
  • Automatic cause classification: price, stockout, rating, delivery or Amazon 1P

Real-time stockout detection before it impacts sales

A SKU out of stock on a marketplace doesn't just stop selling — it opens the door for another seller to win the Buy Box and take that demand. Most teams detect stockouts days or weeks later, when the damage is already done. With daily availability monitoring, Data Seekers records stock status by SKU, seller and marketplace, accumulates days out of stock and connects each stockout event directly with Buy Box movements — so the team can react before it impacts results.

  • Daily availability record by SKU, seller and marketplace
  • Accumulation of OOS days with % availability by period
  • Direct connection between stockouts and Buy Box loss
  • Immediate alerts when a SKU has no availability

PDP quality control on eBay and Miravia: attribute by attribute, seller by seller

On platforms like eBay or Miravia, each seller creates their own product listing. The result is thousands of PDPs with incorrect descriptions, missing attributes, wrong recommended ages or incorrect categorisations — and no centralised control system. Standard digital shelf monitoring tools don't reach this level: they monitor title and description, but not the specific attributes of each category. Data Seekers extracts more than 15 attributes per PDP, validates them against the brand's official catalogue and generates an actionable content quality score by seller, by market and by product.

  • Scraping adapted to the structure of eBay and Miravia (does not depend on feeds or APIs)
  • Extraction of 15+ attributes per PDP: name, theme, dimensions, EAN, recommended age, category, etc.
  • Attribute-by-attribute validation against the official catalogue (correct / incorrect / absent)
  • Customisable rules engine by market, category or seller
  • Drill-down from global view to the specific attribute of a specific seller
  • +25 million data points processed with 100% traceable tracking

Delivery time monitoring by seller and market

Announced delivery times directly affect conversion and, on platforms with a Buy Box, are one of the assignment factors. However, almost no team measures them systematically. Data Seekers captures delivery times in each daily crawl, by seller and by market, and presents them in a fully customisable operational performance dashboard.

  • Capture of announced delivery times by seller and market in each crawl
  • Comparison between markets for the same product
  • Breakdown by SKU and time evolution
  • Customised dashboard according to the team's needs

Real-time alerts and AI: the platform works for your team

Data only has value if it reaches the right person at the right time. Data Seekers combines a configurable real-time alert system with an artificial intelligence engine that automatically prioritises the most relevant findings each day — so the team acts without having to review dashboards manually.

  • Configurable alerts by KPI, market or SKU group
  • Notifications via email, Slack or Telegram to the right person
  • Conversational AI: questions in natural language, immediate answers
  • Automatic daily summary of changes, anomalies and priorities

FAQs

Frequently asked questions about Marketplace Intelligence

Which marketplaces can you monitor?

We monitor any marketplace where there is accessible public data: Amazon (all EMEA stores and beyond), eBay, Miravia, and other European or regional marketplaces depending on each client's needs. Coverage is not limited to a fixed catalogue of platforms — if your distribution goes through a specific marketplace, we analyse it.

How often is the data updated?

The standard crawl is daily. This means every morning you have the previous day's data for all your SKUs, sellers and markets. For cases requiring greater frequency — launches, campaigns, high-demand periods — we can increase the tracking cadence.

Do I need marketplace API access to get started?

No. Data Seekers works via its own scraping, without depending on official marketplace feeds or APIs. This is especially relevant on platforms like eBay or Miravia, where no API exists that exposes third-party seller data at PDP level. We only need your product catalogue and your list of authorised distributors.

How do you detect whether a seller is authorised or not?

We automatically cross-reference all active sellers detected on the marketplaces against the list of authorised distributors provided by the brand. Any seller not on that list is flagged as unauthorised and generates an immediate alert. The list can be updated at any time.

What happens if a seller changes their name or creates a new account?

The system tracks sellers by unique platform identifier, not just by visible name. When we detect a new seller — regardless of the name they use — it is automatically evaluated against the authorised list. If it is not on it, the corresponding alert is generated.

Can I configure alerts to reach different people depending on the market or category?

Yes. The alert system is fully configurable: you can define which KPI triggers an alert, with what threshold, and who is notified — by country, by product line or by type of incident. Notifications arrive via email, Slack or Telegram.

How long does onboarding take?

It depends on the complexity of the catalogue and the number of markets, but the standard process is 2 to 4 weeks from kickoff to the first data in the dashboard. We assign a dedicated onboarding team that accompanies you every step: catalogue configuration, KPI definition, validation rules and alert setup.

Is the data exportable?

Yes. All data is exportable to Excel at any time, with complete historical retention from the first day of capture. In addition, the dashboard allows drill-down from a global view by market down to the detail of a specific attribute in the PDP of a specific seller.

Can you monitor specific attributes of my category that other tools don't cover?

That is precisely what we are designed for. The extraction and validation engine is fully configurable: we define together which attributes are critical for your category — whether dimensions, recommended age, pack contents, certifications or any other field — and we build the validation rules against your catalogue. There is no fixed list of attributes: it adapts to your business logic.
